We begin our excursion in Ataun, where we can visit the Park's Information Centre in the Lizarrusti Pass. At the Centre, we can see a slide show and take a walk along one of the many routes that weave their way through the Aralar mountains. Walkers can visit the Lareo reservoir, wander along the megalithic monument trail, see Jentilbaratza Castle and climb a number of different hills and ridges.
On your return, stop in Ataun, a small town with three different neighbourhoods (San Martín, San Gregorio and Aia). One of the town's peculiarities is that it is the longest in all Gipuzkoa. In Ataun you can visit three churches, the Santiago Hospital, Zubikoeta Palace, Zelabear Tower and Sara House, home of the famous anthropologist, Joxemiel Barandiaran.
